This term we set goals to improve our skills in the pool. One group worked with Mr Koteka. We are now all really good at coordinating our stroke, kick and breathing.
Constable McMellon came in to teach us about Cycle Safety. We practiced on a course at school, then rode around the Cloverlea area. Now we are working in groups to create Cycle Challenge models.
On Monday 16 March three Jets basketballers came to talk to us about goal setting, teamwork and making the most of our opportunities at school. Ben Hill, Marcel Jones and Aidan Craig Daly spoke about their experiences on and off the court. Marcel told us about the expectations that are placed on school children in the USA, where he is from. He said that, as a child, he had hours of homework every night!
